Literacy is a platform for democratization, and a vehicle forthe promotion of cultural and national identity. (...) For everyone, everywhere, literacy is, along with education ingeneral, a basic human right... Literacy is, finally, the road to human progress and the meansthrough which every man, women and child can realize his or her full potential.”

    Hogyan szerezzünk piacképes jogi tudást? : Kompetencia elvárások a magyar jogi felsőoktatásban.

    The present study seeks to reconcile conceptual and practical knowledge with the development of labor-market-related skills and competencies in the context of the expectations and the effectivity of higher education. The research of our current topic - knowledge and competence expectations related to Hungarian legal higher education - takes place in two phases. In the first phase - in this present study - the field of Hungarian higher law education will be examined in terms of feasibility, measurability, efficiency, taking into account the EU expectations.In the second phase - in the next study - we mainly carry out either quantitative, analysation or qualitative, empirical research: in addition to the evaluation of competency studies, the systemlevel study of higher education, case-studies, expert focus group discussion and the complex evaluation of all results, then a comprehensive development advise/proposal will be also part of our work.
