- ItemOpen AccessWriting Strategies for Fostering Reading Comprehension(2015) István ZsigmondEducational methods for developing metacognitive strategies received increased attention in the last decades, especially in the field of fostering reading comprehension. We proposed to research the possibility of stimulating the use of reader's metacognitive strategies in reading by specifically designed writing instruction. After selecting four reading strategies which improve comprehension, special writing instructions were elaborated for stimulating the use of these strategies. We have reformulated two expository texts from textbooks used in the 4th and 7th grade of elementary education in concordance to the writing tactics, and tested student's comprehension. According to results, reading comprehension improved significantly for the reformulated texts. An eight-week writing instructional program was applied in 4th grade classes. Comparing the pre- and post-test results with false-treatment and control groups indicated significant increase in using metacognitive strategies in writing. Results indicate that metacognitive strategies in writing for more comprehendible texts can be trained in elementary grades

- ItemOpen AccessA tanulás lehetőségei kisgyermekkorban(2018) Gombos NorbertA tanulmány a kisgyermekkori tanulás lehetőségeit tekinti át. Bemutatja a tanulás különféle értelmezési kereteit, a tanulás pszichológiai és pedagógiai fogalmát, jellemzőit. Kitér a szociális és a szervezett tanulás eltéréseire, gyakorlatban megmutatkozó különbségeire. A kisgyermekkori tanulás keretei közül kiemelten foglalkozik a családban folyó tanulás sajátosságaival, a szociális tanulás szerepével a kisgyermek nevelésének folyamatában. A bölcsődében folyó tanulás formái közül „A bölcsődei nevelés-gondozás országos alapprogramjában" megjelölt „nevelési helyzetekre" építve emeli ki a szervezett szocializáció első intézményi szintjén zajló legfontosabb fejlesztési területeket. Bemutatja az utánzás, a spontán tapasztalatszerzés, a nevelő és gyermek interakcióból eredő ismeretszerzés, valamint a szokásformálás jelentőségét a hároméves korig terjedő életszakasz bölcsődei fejlesztésében.
- ItemOpen AccessA tehetség szocioemocionális jellemzőinek ábrázolása a filmvásznon(2021) Ackermanné Kelő KamillaTalented people have got a special set of character traits which help them develop their capabilities, but at the same time, it hinders their integration in family, school and society. Depiction of their life paths often appears in cinematography. Together with the students of Károli Gáspár University of Faculty of Teacher Training, we have studied the characteristic features of talent by examining two movies. Our goal was the raising of professional awareness, the renewal of professional vocabulary and the formation of a complex perspective on the matter. During the analyzation of Good Will Hunting (1997) and Gifted (2017) we have identified intra- and interpersonal psychological processes. By knowing these processes and by changing our pedagogical culture we can make the everyday life of a talented person and its environment easier. Looking at the characters appearing in the films, we analysed the specific personality traits of a talented individual, the attachment models and the catalysts for talent development, as well as the atmosphere in family and school, and the influence of an educator on talent development. The films offered a lot of opportunities to analyse the topic, as the dialogues and twist in the stories perfectly showed that talent development with positive family-school-personality interaction is not effective without socio-emotional development.

- ItemOpen AccessÖnképzőkörök mint a tehetséggondozás terei a Debreceni Református Kollégium Gimnáziumának 1850–1950 közötti történetében(2022) Fehér Ágota; Ács MariannaFor a long time, the role of the Reformed College of Debrecen was outstanding in developing the abilities of its students, the quality training helped them achieve excellent results in their studies. In the course of our research, during the institu-tion’s history between Entwurf and nationalization, we follow up the main self-education activities implemented in the institution as a valuable form of talent management and the related tools for further development – e.g. tenders helping to deepen the study of topics, expansion of library stock and collections, compe-titions and other performances, opportunities to show off, scholarships. The value and helping power of the self-training circles was also shown as a community re-source that served both as a support and a pulling force for its members, and pro-vided an opportunity for further deepening, development and development in a specific field. The primary sources of our research are the reports, elaborations, and summaries published in school bulletins during the relevant period.

Reformed colleges play a spe-cial role in this service, which, regardless of the social status of the families, have been able to provide a second home for those who want to study and thrive in humanity. In this paper, we review the unfolding of the exemplary mission of the Reformed College of Pécs from the point of view of how talent management is realized in this particularly complex institutional system. As a source, we analyze the yearbooks of the institution by analyzing the content of the entries and wri-tings related to the topic.
- ItemOpen AccessA nagykőrösi református tanítóképzés a 19–20. században a tehetséggondozás tükrében(2022) Fehér Ágota; Pap Ferenc; Szetey Szabolcs; Lehoczky Mária MagdolnaThe creator of the first educational science system in Hungarian,64 József Zákány (1785–1857), considers the complex development of various human “talents” as an essential part of education: the intellect, memory, judgment and imagination, inner feelings, morals and the role of religious feeling in the enrichment of spir-itual talents. In the course of our work, we are looking for the answer to how the development of these areas and their mutual influence were realized in the Nagykőrös teacher training school – as one of the oldest and outstanding teacher training institutions in our country65 – based on the 19th and 20th century notices from the Nagykőrös teacher training school. By this, our aim is to clarify the role of the institution in talent management, also based on the Reformed spirit of the Nagykőrös teacher training school.
- ItemOpen AccessS. Szabó József (1862-1944) pedagógusi munkássága: a „szeretet igéjével” való nevelés példája(2023) Fehér ÁgotaThe spirit of the Reformed College of Debrecen has been a defining value for centuries, and it still is today, helping students to grow up and develop their best abilities. Its effectiveness is determined by dedicated teachers, who support the students with both their knowledge and personality, while their activities also provide inspiration that should be followed as an example for future educators. The teaching work of József S. Szabó, the religion teacher and Director of the Debrecen Reformed College High School between 1922 and 1929, carries rich values with the spiritual growth of both the institution and its students. The purpose of this study is to examine the life path that served as the source of this exceptional pedagogical effect and through it to support the lessons of the roots of the spirit. In the background of the processing, in addition to the relevant literature, high school bulletins and parish minutes were also used as a basis.
