- ItemOpen AccessA nagykőrösi református tanítóképzés a 19–20. században a tehetséggondozás tükrében(2022) Fehér Ágota; Pap Ferenc; Szetey Szabolcs; Lehoczky Mária MagdolnaThe creator of the first educational science system in Hungarian,64 József Zákány (1785–1857), considers the complex development of various human “talents” as an essential part of education: the intellect, memory, judgment and imagination, inner feelings, morals and the role of religious feeling in the enrichment of spir-itual talents. In the course of our work, we are looking for the answer to how the development of these areas and their mutual influence were realized in the Nagykőrös teacher training school – as one of the oldest and outstanding teacher training institutions in our country65 – based on the 19th and 20th century notices from the Nagykőrös teacher training school. By this, our aim is to clarify the role of the institution in talent management, also based on the Reformed spirit of the Nagykőrös teacher training school.

- ItemOpen AccessÖnképzőkörök mint a tehetséggondozás terei a Debreceni Református Kollégium Gimnáziumának 1850–1950 közötti történetében(2022) Fehér Ágota; Ács MariannaFor a long time, the role of the Reformed College of Debrecen was outstanding in developing the abilities of its students, the quality training helped them achieve excellent results in their studies. In the course of our research, during the institu-tion’s history between Entwurf and nationalization, we follow up the main self-education activities implemented in the institution as a valuable form of talent management and the related tools for further development – e.g. tenders helping to deepen the study of topics, expansion of library stock and collections, compe-titions and other performances, opportunities to show off, scholarships. The value and helping power of the self-training circles was also shown as a community re-source that served both as a support and a pulling force for its members, and pro-vided an opportunity for further deepening, development and development in a specific field. The primary sources of our research are the reports, elaborations, and summaries published in school bulletins during the relevant period.

Szabó József (1862-1944) pedagógusi munkássága: a „szeretet igéjével” való nevelés példája(2023) Fehér ÁgotaThe spirit of the Reformed College of Debrecen has been a defining value for centuries, and it still is today, helping students to grow up and develop their best abilities. Its effectiveness is determined by dedicated teachers, who support the students with both their knowledge and personality, while their activities also provide inspiration that should be followed as an example for future educators. The teaching work of József S. Szabó, the religion teacher and Director of the Debrecen Reformed College High School between 1922 and 1929, carries rich values with the spiritual growth of both the institution and its students. The purpose of this study is to examine the life path that served as the source of this exceptional pedagogical effect and through it to support the lessons of the roots of the spirit. In the background of the processing, in addition to the relevant literature, high school bulletins and parish minutes were also used as a basis.

Reformed colleges play a spe-cial role in this service, which, regardless of the social status of the families, have been able to provide a second home for those who want to study and thrive in humanity. In this paper, we review the unfolding of the exemplary mission of the Reformed College of Pécs from the point of view of how talent management is realized in this particularly complex institutional system. As a source, we analyze the yearbooks of the institution by analyzing the content of the entries and wri-tings related to the topic.
